OPENING CEREMONY X WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE

As previously mentioned, retailer Opening Ceremony’s celebration of Where The Wild Things Are, comes to life as the special apparel collection is made available through its online store and retail locations this week. Working with director Spike Jonze, the OC design team put forth 15 pieces for both men and women. Each was inspired the protagonist, Max the boy king, and the his pack of “Wild Things” - Carol, Judith, K.W., Alexander, Ira, Douglas, and even the Bull Monster. The collection includes reversible vest, bomber jacket, parka, t-shirt dress, and more. All constructed in detail to best reflect the film and the children book. FLAMINGO PINK NIKE

It's nice to see Jordan Brand are taking care of our Freakettes with a tasty selection of high tops coming through this season. The 'Phat' sneaker has copped many a makeover, but this flamingo pink flamer is the bees knees and ready to be rocked on the regular. No word on a local release, but you can pick up your pair from Extra Butter.

DOTTY DUNK

Nike Sportswear shakes on the spice with its forthcoming Dunk Hi pack under the Athletics East division. Normally it’s the midsole that gets the full speckle treatment, but this time it’s the upper that’s rife with the trademark dotty effect. The black pair has been electrified with vault-yellow dots and laces, all sliced up with a black patent swoosh but it's the red pair that sports a more traditional varsity red and royal blue colourway. The 'Athletics East' tongue labels give a nod to Nike’s 'ol-school track heritage. Look out for them come December.

Really creative and unique this viral video of Freebord.com. 36 skaters recreate a giant Tetris carrying luminous structures down a street of San Francisco by night.

GIV DEM TIL MIG!

The original Nike Sportswear x Dave’s Quality Meat Dunk High that was released last year (2008) claimed the number 3 spot in Complex’s 50 Top Dunks of All Time list but what was never shown or talked about until now is this Hyperstrike version of the collaboration Dunk. The original three colorways of the Nike x DQM Dunk High included Cave Purple, Ice Green, Industrial Blue, but 24 pairs of this Black colorway were created for DQM and it’s friends and family.
