Format Perspective
A skateboarding photography documentary by Phil Evans

Grand Teatret, Copenhagen.
Monday 27 February 2012 at 21.30 (with introduction and Q&A by the director).

SweetTalk Cph with Plant and Carhartt present a screening of Format Perspective, a documentary that explores the work, lives and opinions of six European skate photographers. The film showcases the photography of Nils Svensson (Malmo – see image above), Stu Robinson (Belfast), Alex Irvine (London), Rich Gilligan (Dublin), Sergej Vutuc (Heilbronn) and Bertrand Trichet (Barcelona/Tokyo), while also giving us an insight into the different approaches used by this diverse line-up of photographers. Filmed completely on super 8 film, this project gives a behind-the-scenes look at the skating that these guys like to shoot, as well as the resulting photos that emerge from these sessions.

SKATEBOARDING 3D

With his project SKATEBOARDING.3D, Sebastian Denz won the 20th International BFF (German Association of Freelance Photographers) Promotion Award 2008.

Put on the 3D glasses and immerse yourself in a hyper-real world of vibrating color, extreme tricks, and professional skateboarders. Featuring the Carhartt skate team and inspired by virtual spaces, this oversized volume brings the culture of skateboarding to life, while exploring the thrilling possibilities of 3D photography.

Photographer Sebastian Denz built his own large-format camera to take these 3D pictures in a never-before-seen quality, and received the International BFF, Germany?s freelance photographers? award for the project. Two pairs of special glasses and a slipcase are part of this awesome book, which is a companion volume to a traveling exhibition of Denz?s work.

CARHARTT BRAND BOOK VOL.2

Volume 2 delivers an even deeper insight into the Carhartt Brand than the first Issue.
It features a wide range of the Fall/Winter 09 collection, the current advertising campaign we did in collaboration with Illustrator Marco Klefish, lots of image material, gadgets and collaborations such as the Carhartt x Vestax Handy Trax USB Turntable.

Volume 2 also describes the historic background of the Carhartt Heritage Line, features interviews with Photographer Matthias Willi who did the “friends” shooting for us, with DJ Benji B about his new Radio project, and Andrea Caputo, the editor of “ All City Writers”, a book giving an exclusive view on the development of the graffiti scene since its very beginning until today.

Additionally the Brand Book Volume 2 includes reports from our Skate- and BMX Team like past tours and new Team Riders, all in all an exclusive mix about what’s going on within the Carhartt network.
