KITTY BIRTHDAY

The world’s favorite Japanese feline, Hello Kitty, celebrates her 35th birthday this year with an assemblage of limited edition items and collaborative products. Other than merchandise, Sanrio is introducing Three Apples, a multi-dimensional art show that encapsulates all things Hello Kitty in Culver City’s Royal T. The art exhibition curated by Jaime Rivadeneira includes an impressive 80-strong line-up of contemporary artists such as Gary Baseman, Ron English, Buff Monster, Frank Kozik and Tara Mcpherson. The original art work inspired by Hello Kitty exhibited will be available for sale with a portion of proceeds going to benefit L.A. Works, a volunteer creation center that helps with community projects in the greater L.A. area. The exhibition will be open to public from Oct 23 to November 15, so plan your time accordingly and use this as a great excuse to visit L.A.
