Founder of Soulland, Silas Adler, founded Soulland when he was just 17, without any design background or experience. Even though Soulland was born out of an excuse to not go back to school, the company had grown considerably since it was founded 6 years ago. Adler had been nominated Denmark’s best upcoming designer by the Danish Fashion Awards. His design style is deeply influenced by his experiences growing up in both the rural countryside of Jutland and urban Copenhagen.
From his Spring/Summer 09 collection, we are loving the playful take on the mens white shirt. The shirt gets a new look with extra length and is now dressed in white seersucker with angular textured stripes. Stitching details adorn the seams down each arm, giving the subtle shirt visually interesting when observed up close. Rather than having straight seams like other basic button downs, the shirt features curved seams around the back of the shoulders with rope loop. Full of fascinating details, this shirt is available now at OAK.
