We don’t even need an opener on Spike Jonze’s Where The Wild Things Are–the movie, previews, trailers, books and onslaught of collaborative projects already speak volumes for the movie. While riding the heat and anticipation of the movie, MoMA is also having a retrospective exhibition on Spike Jonze, Spike Jonze: The First 80 Years. In honor of the film exhibition retrospective, PopRally is presenting a compilation of skate videos from 1980s to today. Among the curated videos are Jonze’s own contributions to the skate video genre. Skate videos hit close to home for Jonze as according to the man himself, it was how he got involved in film. Other than the screening, a conversation will also be held between Jonze, Lance Mountain, Greg Hunt, Jake Phelps, Ty Evans and other surprise guests. A must see for skate and film enthusiasts, the screening will be held on Oct 15 at 7.30pm.
